REALIZING THE POWER OF DESIGN

From its very infancy Frank Yang and his team at Simplehuman recognized that great design could help them gain a significant advantage in the saturated housewares market. In the early 2000's they partnered with Myk Lum and the team at LDA to help them create and develop not just great products but an innovative and disruptive brand. For more than a decade this partnership has helped bring to market some of the most beautiful and coveted products in housewares.

THE SUCCESS OF THE SHOWER CADDY

One of Simplehuman's most successful and recognizable products has been their Adjustable Shower Caddy. This shower caddy leverages a central aluminum extrusion that allows wireframe baskets to adjust vertically along lateral tracks to accommodate different size bottles. It also uses custom hardware which allows the aluminum baskets to adjust side to side. This combination of vertical and lateral adjustability gives the user maximum control to adjust the shower caddy to fit their exact needs.

A NEW TYPE OF SHOWER CADDY

In 2008 LDA partnered with Simplehuman to develop a new shower caddy which would build on the immense success of the Adjustable Shower Caddy. Leveraging a similar combination of central aluminum extrusion, custom hardware and wire detailing this horizontal shower caddy would span the length of the shower in order to accommodate a larger volume of shower products. Special attention was paid in the initial phases to ergonomic considerations surrounding user height, touch points and available space in the shower.

MODULARITY IS KEY

The Horizontal Shower Caddy uses a modular system which allows users to quickly and easily adjust the position of the wireframe baskets and accessory hooks along a center track in the aluminum extruded body providing users with the ultimate ability to customize their shower experience.
